Based on the WIKI entry on Technological Singularity, I understand that the meaning of this term is : Do to techonogy that we as humans are creating the future ahead of us is going to be everytime more and more controlled by technology.
I believe that we as creators of technology will never allowed machines to become smarter than us, and always have controlled over them

ReplyDelete-I understood about it, that is an important step for the humanity, because in the future there will be a new technology that the Scientifics will create. This technology will have machines that might think for our self and have more imagination than us, for example this new technology may think and create new things for the new generation human, that is why the humans always forget something, for example it is hard for us to remember a lot of information, for that reason we must create machines or something like that, these machines are responsible for doing things that the human brain is not able to do, is like to say that these are super intelligent machines.

ReplyDeleteIn my own words as to what I just read, I can predict that we are the far superior minds than technology, cause think about it. In the next 10 or 20 years they might build a phone that can do everything, but it doesn't mean it's smarter than us. I also don't think we'll be taken over by technology anytime soon. There's just no way of it happening, although this is Earth, it holds many mysteries that we don't even know yet, my point is don't be thinking lightly of these kind of gadgets. For even though they're just electronics and such, something COULD bound to happen, you never know..
What I understood about this is that the technology in a few years going to be more powerful that the human brain, but i dont think that the technology can be more powerful that the human brain because the human brain created the technology.

The term of technological singularity isn't just a computer based future, from what I understood it is in it's wider explanation a great way to develop technology.As part of singularity comes the "horizon" the "unpredictable" future or not even understandable but I think(and it is a personal opinion) that if we,the humans,who created computers and tech environments,can't predict what's going to happen on this range neither can a machine unless we found our way on how to do it and the allow this machines or robots or whatever it is to use it and then and only then it could be used against us.

Most of us wish to see us in the future, what I mean for this is robots talking and acting like humans. For what I read about technological singularity I understood that the technology in the future is going to have a brain like us. This means robots walking around like humans but of course they would have more information in their brain than us they would be able to learn more stuff faster than our brains. Technology right now is advanced but not as advanced to see robots. Technology singularity soon they would reached a threshold level of sophistication, would enable the creation of smarter-than-human intelligence. Human intelligence is the foundation of human technology; all technology is ultimately the product of intelligence.
